Player Attire for Regional Tournament
Socks
Players should wear socks that match their uniform color. Since not all players received colored socks this season, they are allowed to wear black or another neutral color. Socks should match in color, and as always, must completely cover shin guards. The following rules are for the 2021 Regional Tournament:
A. In the event of cold weather, players will be allowed to wear clothing under their uniforms. Jerseys, socks and shorts must be worn on the outside of all clothing worn.
B. Hooded sweatshirts must be worn with the hood tucked inside the player’s jersey. While playing, hoods are not to be worn over head and neck strings are not to be tied.
C. The tournament director is the final authority on the suitability of player’s equipment and uniforms subject to the provisions of Law IV.
1. Substitution - all players must play 3 quarters before any one player can play 4 quarters. This includes goalie.
2, Games will be shortened by 10 minutes
3. Please review the bracket scoring. Wins (6), tie (3), and loss (0) is straight forward. The max any team can achieve from scoring goals is 3 points, regardless of the point differential between teams. Goal scoring tied to good sportsmanship is really important. There will never be a reason to run up the score as that pushes away from good sportsmanship. If the score gets too far on one side then we continue to ask coaches to be creative to still play fast, but decrease the probability of scoring.
Be patient and flexible as looks as we will be working around the weather decisions as well.
