
Exposed to Covid-19
For any player, parent, or volunteer that is exposed or tests positive of Covid-19, Region 498 will follow the State of Alabama Safer an Home guidelines and Alabama Public Health guidelines.
- Individuals with Covid-19 symptoms need to leave Dublin or Palmer Park immediately, quarantine themselves, and contact a medical professional.
- Individuals exposed to Covid-19, but show no symptoms, should wait at least 3 to 4 days, then be tested.
- If the Covid-19 test is positive, the individual should remain in quarantine and follow the guidelines from their medical professional.
- If the Covid-19 test is negative, but symptoms still remain, the individual should remain in quarantine for the 14-day period and seek guidance from their medical professional. Individuals will need a doctor's note written on practice letterhead or script stating the individual no longer has Covid-19 symptoms and can return.
- If the Covid-19 test is negative and has no symptoms, the individual can return prior to 14 days with a doctor's note written on practice letterhead or script stating the individual can return.
- Individuals with the written documentation mentioned above, should give it to their coach whom will keep it with the player forms, as well as email a copy to the Safety Director at [email protected].
- If a player, coach, or parent becomes quarantined, the rest of the team can continue practices and games to their comfort level.
- If a parent wants to withdraw their player from soccer, we support their decision, but a refund may not be given per our refund policy.
- Parents should be checking their players and themselves for Covid-19 symptoms prior to leaving their home for practices and games.
- Coaches, referees, team parents, and other volunteers should be checking themselves for Covid-19 symptoms prior to leaving their home for practices, games, and any AYSO event.
