Practice / Game Reschedule Guidelines
If a coach would like to reschedule a game or practice, the following guidelines are followed by our Scheduler(s):
Game Reschedule
- Game reschedule can only be requested due to a rainout
- Games can only be rescheduled on a weekday no later than the following week
- If no field is available, there is a school break, or a planned event by Madison Parks & Recreation the following week, no games will be rescheduled
- A game reschedule takes the place of a weekday practice
- Games can only be rescheduled if the full field is available
- No game reschedules on Saturdays or Sundays
- Division Coordinators must fill out the game reschedule form and submit on behalf of the coaches
- If the rescheduled game is rained out or canceled, no further games will be rescheduled
- Game reschedule requests are first come, first serve regardless of division
- No game reschedule after the last game of the regular season
Practice Reschedule
- Practices can only be rescheduled due to a rainout
- If a coach cannot make practice due to a schedule conflict (i.e. -- job function, out of town, etc.), then the assistant coach can run the practice in place of the head coach
- If there is no assistant coach, the head coach can ask a parent to register as an assistant coach to cover practice
- Parents registering to cover practice while the head coach is out will need to pass a background check, and complete Safe Haven and CDC Concussion online to be allowed to step onto the field of play
- Real-time requests only
- Coaches may fill out the practice reschedule form and submit
- Any request in anticipation of field closure due to weather or schedule conflict will be denied
- Rescheduled practices must be made up within the same week
- Only one reschedule per week
- Practice reschedule requests are first come, first serve regardless of division
- No practice reschedule after the last game of the regular season
