How to Access and Complete SafeSport Training (AYSO498)
- Create an acount or login to https://safesporttrained.org/?KeyName=tsVWe36Xa6PS3b5NzOug
- When the SafeSport site opens, a “Sign Up” box will appear.
- If this is your first time, fill out the form ensuring the following match AYSO records, else select login at the top right corner:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email
- Date of Birth
- Click Sign Up.
- If you have taken SafeSport training before, click the Login button in the top right of the screen and use previously set credentials to log in.
- Once logged in, an Enrollment Key popup will appear. Ensure the Key Name is: tsVWe36Xa6PS3b5NzOug, then select Enroll.
- Training Details:
- First-time users will take "SafeSport Trained – U.S. Soccer Federation".
- DO NOT take "SAFESPORT FOR VOLUNTEERS" as it does not count toward AYSO SafeSport requirements (though you can take it optionally for additional information).
- For subsequent years, complete the respective refresher courses:
- Year 2: Refresher 1 – Recognizing and Reporting Misconduct
- Year 3: Refresher 2 – Preventing Misconduct
- Year 4: Refresher 3 – Creating a Positive Sport Environment
- Year 5: Cycle restarts with SafeSport Trained.
Note: DO NOT upload your certificate into AYSO. The systems will sync automatically if information entered in Step 6 matches AYSO records and the correct training is completed.
