Referee Payments
New in Fall 2025: referees 14 and older can be paid for their efforts on the field!
Before you can be paid, you must set up your payment profile in Stack Officials.
Here is the pay scale for games managed by AYSO Area 5C:

| 15U | Referee | Advanced Referee | $40 |
| 15U | Assistant Referee | Intermediate Referee | $25 |
| 19U | Referee | National Referee | $50 |
| 19U | Assistant Referee | Advanced Referee | $25 |
Games managed by Madison (8U-12U games at Dublin and Palmer Parks) will use the same pay rate as above. In the event that changes, this page will be updated accordingly.
As you work towards advancing your referee grade, you will need to complete some games at referee at the next level up (e.g. Regional Referees will need to complete 5 matches refereeing a 12U match before being certified as an Intermediate Referee). Once you've completed the classroom session for that level, you will be granted access to referee at the level needed to complete your upgrade (but not be an assistant referee at the level above that).
